Little City International Student Fellowship is a community of international college students and scholars connected with families from Reno area churches. We are a faith-based volunteer group.
What we do: Motivated by Jesus' love for people of other nations, we aim to serve the international students of our city in practical needs, and to help Reno’s Christian community to become globally minded through the following activities:
- Airport pickups
- Shopping trips
- Conversation partners
- Soccer and sports
- Bible studies
- Friendship families
- International student house
- And more
What motivates us for friendship: In the book of Leviticus and Deuteronomy in the Bible, the Israelites are commanded to treat the foreigner with love and justice, as one of their own. Likewise, in John chapter 4 and Luke chapter 10, Jesus breaks society norms by befriending people of other cultures and commands his followers to do the same. In this spirit, we desire to serve international students, and help Reno’s church community and other city citizens to grow in neighborly love and hospitality towards the “foreigner in our land.” Although Little City International Student Fellowship is led by local Christian community, international students of all faiths are welcome to connect. We desire a community of open friendships with people of diverse spiritual backgrounds. A place of acceptance.
