Volunteer Opportunities

This ministry would not be possible without the prayer and commitment of our volunteers.  We have a huge opportunity to serve internationals in the love of Christ.  There are so many ways to serve with varying levels of time-commitment.  

Sunday Dinner

Each week there is an open-invite international dinner near the University of Nevada, Reno.  Helping with food is a huge way to bless these students.  Also, this is a great opportunity to meet international students. 

We meet at 6:30pm at 1449 Hillside Dr, Reno, NV 89502.

Conversational English

Practicing English with Internationals is a great way to help them improve their language skills.  However, it is also a great way to build friendships and learn more about their culture, family, and country. 

Holiday Host

Share Thanksgiving, Easter, or Christmas with an international student.  Let them join you for your normal festivities and explain the significance of the holiday you are celebrating. 

Driving Lessons

Teach an international student to drive.  This is a huge blessing to them and is great way to help meet a practical need.

Discovery Bible Studies

Great way to share culture, learn from different perspectives, and help them see the reality of God's amazing love for them in Christ.

Friendship Partners

Befriend an international student.  This is a great way to share culture, help them get established, and develop a meaningful friendship that will last.  This is a huge blessing for both the student and the American. 

Trips

Whether it's taking students to Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, Yosemite, etc, we have found that this is a great way to build relationships with international students.

Airport Transportation

Many of the international students that come to Reno don't have their own vehicle.  Giving rides is a simple way to show Christ's love. 

Grocery Store Transportation

Invite An International To Church

Great way to share the significance of Jesus as well as learn about their values and beliefs.
